Step 1:
Mix the following in a large bowl:
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
Step 2:
Slowly add the following to the bowl from Step 1, mixing well:
2 cups flour
2 1/2 cups quick oats
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
Step 3:
Stir in the following:
12 ounces chocolate chips
Cooking Directions:
Spoon 1 inch balls onto a greased cookie sheet. Cook at 375 degrees for 12 minutes.
